Ms. Doris Kwan CEO, Brainworks Asia Ltd. |
Ms Doris Kwan possess over 20 years solid experience and expertise in corporate development, brand building, start up and pre IPO. Through her previous employment with various private and listed companies, she is recognized as a seasoned dynamic professional with modern management skills particularly in innovation management and human capital development.
Ms Kwan has been a member of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) Professional Services Advisory Committee since 2007, representing the management consultancy and training service sectors. She has been a guest speaker for workshops in Hong Kong and overseas held by renowned organizations and educational institutes. Her workshop focuses in coaching China based corporation CEOs to acquire skills and knowledge in globalization.
Since 2003, Ms Kwan has been the CEO and founder of Brainworks Asia Ltd (www.brainworksasia.com). The company’s objective is to provide consultancy services to local and overseas clients that drive corporations to achieve sustainable growth and value creation. With the expertise and extensive business network within the Technology, Media, Telecommunications (TMT) and financial sectors, she helps clients explore and realize business opportunities. Brainworks Asia is also renowned for providing innovative marketing and branding solutions to clients.
In support of client’s and individual’s long term development needs, Brainworks Asia consulting team deliver training programs on Value Creation, Innovation Management, Brand Building and Executive Development.
Ms Kwan previously held senior management positions in private and public listed companies from various industries including retail, telecommunications, Information Technology, entertainment & media, franchising and licensing.
As the Marketing Controller of Fortress (a member of the Hutchison Whampoa Group), Ms Kwan directed strategic business development and brand building. She also drove "change" towards a service culture and improved the efficiency of the organization.
Ms Kwan held the position of General Manager -- Marketing of SmarTone Telecommunications Ltd (HK Stock Exchange #0315). She was responsible to devise products & services roadmap based on customer needs & technology development. In addition, she was involved in 3G Hong Kong license bidding; new market start up and transforming the company from an engineering based to a customer centric business.
As the Senior Vice President of Star East Holdings Ltd, Ms Kwan started up the company's entertainment services related group, which was engaged in the franchising of entertainment complexes, licensing, and merchandising and internet services. She also led the start up of Star East [www.stareastnet.com], an entertainment/information based internet content provider, while orchestrating a fund raising program and guiding this project through pre IPO.
Ms Kwan gained hands on experiences in licensing, marketing and branding through her employment with a Disney apparel licensee headquartered in Singapore, an agent for renowned US licensed merchandise and an international public relations firm with assignments in HK and China.
